Rights Respecting Schools Silver: Rights Aware
Congratulations to Mrs Bradley and her RRS group who have successfully guided St Pius X to achieving the Silver: Rights Aware award.
Mrs Bradley has worked endlessly with groups of children to ensure that the UNCRC is embedded within the learning and teaching that takes place within our school and our community.
Staff, learners and parents have engaged through surveys, videos and activities to show the awareness of the rights and how we make sure we are giving our learners there rights in many ways through out the school.
This is a huge success for our school and community. We will continue to embed the UNCRC =, we have successfully proven that we you are meeting the Silver descriptors for the nine Outcomes across the three strands:
- Teaching and Learning about rights: for the whole school community through training, curriculum, assemblies, topics, focus days/weeks, displays.
- Teaching and Learning through rights: by modelling rights respecting language and attitudes, and making strategic decisions that involve students.
- Being ambassadors for the rights of others: developing as rights respecting citizens.
