St Pius RC Primary School and Nursery Class

At St Pius we aim to provide a happy, stimulating and a secure learning environment that encourages positive working attitudes in all our pupils, and fosters respect and tolerance for the beliefs and opinions of others.

At our school, the staff aim to develop all aspects of the child: the emotional, the social, the aesthetic, the physical, the artistic and the intellectual skills necessary to be well rounded, confident members of society.

We believe that, to enable each child to achieve his/her full potential, it is important to develop and maintain a positive partnership between home, school and parish.

We pride ourselves on our strong, inclusive ethos and are committed to our pupils. We create a warm, welcoming, safe and secure environment for all.

We are a learning community, growing together as successful learners, responsible citizens, effective contributors and confident individuals.

Everything we do is based on the Gospel values of love and kindness, respect, tolerance, honesty, perseverance, empathy, patience and self control.  All our children are treated equally and as individuals.

We have a really special school in St Pius X and I am hopeful this web site will give you a flavour of the exciting learning that happens in our school every day.

For parents, this is an opportunity for you to see the hard work that takes place in our classrooms each day, view our calendar of dates each year and receive news and information about the parish.

For pupils, I hope you enjoy showing off your work to the world and updating us all through your class blog!

My thanks to staff, particularly Miss Fraser, pupils and the parish for their work and support in getting the web site underway.

Enjoy your visit and I will hopefully see you sometime soon!
